Building Winners for Life

YMCA Sports are about helping young athletes become better players and better people.  Our motto is "Building Winners for Life".  The mission of our programs can be found in our Seven Pillars: Everyone Plays, Safety First, Fair Play, Positive Competition, Family Involvement, Sport For All and Sport for Fun.

We go beyond teaching skills and tactics by including important fitness and character development concepts in each practice. Through a variety of sports leagues and classes, participants learn how to be a contributing member of a team, how to try new things, how to live healthy lives and most importantly, how to be good people!

                  TAE KWON DO

For children and youth ages 5 to 15, who are brand new to     Tae Kwon Do, this program
focuses on the positive influence of martial arts training by starting at the most rudimentary level with an experienced black belt instructor. The program combines games and age-appropriate instruction, while fostering self-discipline, self-confidence, listening skills and respect for others.  The instructor will determine each child's readiness
for moving on to the next level.
