Camp Monroe

We've Moved!!!

To Genesee Valley Park!!!

Why?: More Green space, opportunitites to participate in river front activities, use of an outdoor pool, a spacious pavillion, and more!

Back by popular demand!  Camp Monroe offers
specialty morning tracks while keeping the more
traditional elements of day camp in the afternoon.
Our exciting morning specialty track programs
provide campers with the option to pick the activity
that they'd like to participate in; they can choose
a different track each week for an individualized
camp experience! We offer both full-day and half-day
options, as well as AM (7AM-9AM) and PM
(4PM-6PM) extended day camp.

Leaders in Training

You're never too old for summer camp! This camp
gives older children (ages 11-13) the opportunity
to grow as a total person --spirit, mind and body--
while still learning new things, making new friends
and of course, having fun!  Tween campers have
their choice of specialty tracks in the AM, while spending the afternoons developing their leadership skills through a variety of character-building projects, hands-on activities and team-building exercises, many of which the campers will decide on themselves.

 CIT (Counselors-In-Training)

CIT is geared towards teens ages 14-17 that are
interested in someday becoming a YMCA camp
counselor.  Program focuses on continuing the
growth of self-confidence, teamwork and
responsibility while exposing teens to the
challenges and rewards of becoming a camp
counselor.  CITs will enhance their leadership
skills and gain some real work experience
by helping camp counselors and program staff.
All CITs are required to complete an application
and interview process.
