Quality, Reliable and Fun

Our AM care runs from 7:00 am until the start of the school day.  The after school programs take place from school dismissal time until 6:00 pm and includes an afternoon snack.

Our Child Care staff meets regularly to discuss successes and opportunities to meet and surpass parents and participant's expectations. Programs maintain a 1:10 staff to child ratio, and all staff are carefully screened and trained.

YMCA Child Care programs are registered with the New York State Department of Social Services and are a contracted provider for DSS funding for childcare.

Each week, your child will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities including homework time, arts & crafts, drama, outdoor play & active games, science experiments, and even swimming. This fall we begin two new programs, CATCH (Coordinated approach to Child Health) and Family Cooks

Recognized by Time magazine, the YMCA CATCH curriculum focuses on getting kids off the couch and moving programs focus on getting kids off the sofa and getting fit. This program engages students in fun, motivating physical activities that increase strength, coordination and endurance.

Our new Family Cooks program teaches children about nutrition, kitchen safety, table setting and cooking simple healthy meals.  In the process, kids learn to make healthy food choices, build confidence in their abilities and learn how they can contribute at home.  Every week parents are invited in to sample some kid-prepared meals.
