Family YMCA is committed to offering relevant &
meaningful membership opportunities, programs and special
events for the older adult population in our
community. Through the Active Older Adults (AoA)
program, we strive to
provide a holistic approach to the needs of older adults
through increased involvement with the YMCA mission and values beyond fitness
activities.
Muscular Strength &
Range of Movement
Have fun and move to the music through
a
variety of
exercises designed to increasemuscular strength, range of
movement andactivity for daily living skills.
Hand-heldweights, elastic tubing with handles anda ball is
alternated with non-impact aerobic choreography. A chair
is offered for support, stretching and relaxation
exercises.

Circuit
Increase
your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a
standing circuit workout.
